Who are we?

We are a private individual with too much time of their hands who has created this website as a reference for historic motor racing events in the United Kingdom.

How do we collect information from you?

The website does not request any personal data from you, such as email, phone number etc. We don’t need to. What we do collect is cookies for using Google Analytics, details below. If you were to email us, we will be deleting your email once we have read the email and responded. We would not keep your email address on record for any other purpose, such as mailing lists, or pass it to a third party unless we had requested and received your express permission to do so.

Use of ‘cookies’

When you visited our website for the first time, you would have seen a cookie notification at the bottom of the screen.

Like many other websites, the Historic Circuit website uses cookies. ‘Cookies’ are small pieces of information sent by an organisation to your computer and stored on your hard drive to allow that website to recognise you when you visit. They collect statistical data about your browsing actions and patterns and do not identify you as an individual. For example, we use cookies to store your preferences and provide analytics. This helps us to improve our website and deliver a better, more personalised service.

It is possible to switch off cookies by setting your browser preferences. Turning cookies off may result in a loss of functionality when using our website.

Use of ‘Google Analytics’

We use Google Analytics to allow us to analyse user activity in order to improve the website. This makes use of cookies, as described above. The Google Analytics service transmits website traffic data to Google servers. Google Analytics does not identify individual users or associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.

To provide website visitors with the ability to prevent their data from being used by Google Analytics, Google have developed their Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on for the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, dc.js).

If you want to opt-out, download and install the add-on for your web browser. The Google Analytics opt-out add-on is designed to be compatible with Chrome, Internet Explorer 11, Safari, Firefox and Opera. In order to function, the opt-out add-on must be able to load and execute properly on your browser. For Internet Explorer, 3rd-party cookies must be enabled. Learn more about the opt-out and how to properly install the browser add-on here.

This Privacy Notice applies only to our website‚ so we encourage you to read the privacy statements on the other websites you visit. We cannot be responsible for the privacy policies and practices of other sites even if you access them using links from our website.

In addition, if you linked to our website from a third party site, we cannot be responsible for the privacy policies and practices of the owners and operators of that third party site and recommend that you check the Privacy Notice of that third party site.
